Brian McCorkle, Secretary. Brian was an Offensive Lineman from 1986 to 1989. He got his first opportunity as a starter during his sophomore season in 1987. He started all twelve games for the Eagles as a junior on the much heralded 1988 team that posted a record of 9-2-1. He was co-captain as a senior in 1989. He graduated in 1990 with a BA in Public Administration. Brian serves on the Board of Trustees at the Weeping Willow African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in Charlotte, NC and is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated. He has also been a volunteer AAU track coach since 2000. Brian has sponsored college visitation trips to NCCU for Charlotte area high school students since 1996. Brian's passion runs deep for "Dear Ole NCC". He is married to the former Serena Hemingway, an NCCU alumna. His mother, Gloria (Crowder) McCorkle is a 1968 graduate of NCCU and his sister, Eva McCorkle, is a 1998 NCCU graduate. A part of the Robert "Stonewall" Jackson legacy himself, he learned the lessons of hard work, firmness, and fairness. He believes that because of the opportunities afforded to Eagles of the past as well as himself, that we are obligated to do everything within our power to ensure that NCCU football can not only continue the excellence of the past, but exceed it. Brian's wish is for us to have a collaborative effort to make NCCU the best football program on it's respective level both now and in the future.
